I've been watching the mavericks play for years and Ive suddenly realized that when Dirk cuts his hair he seems to become weak, his shooting percentage will go down, he loses his aggressiveness and he becomes turnover prone. But when his hair is really long he seems to play his best. Chris Kaman on the other hand has had long hair for a really long time and hes played really sucky but since he cut his hair he's been a beats, he is averaging career highs in field goal percentage, blocks, rebounding and points. So do both of these players games reveolve around their hair? And btw dirk has the best hair in the NBA lol

Actually 2 seasons ago Kaman was great and he had long hair. Last season he cut it and he sucked. Now he still has short hair and he's doing great. Kaman's strong play has nothing to do with his hair.

My hair is almost down to my belly button and I might cut it to my shoulders soon but until then, I need some help. my hair is straight and every morning I flip my head over and pull it together into the same old high ponytail or bun. i have to have it high though cause basketball seasons coming up (school team?) and i have to keep it out of the way and off my neck. Take a shower at night and then let your hair dry a little bit but while it is still wet brush your hair and braid it. The next morning, take it down and it should be wavy. Take it down, then take the first few sections of your hair and clip them on the top of your head towards the middle.

Another style is curling your hair and if you don't want it down in the summer time then just curl the ponytail.

Now here is for sports season. Take you hair and put it in a lower ponytail. Put it in a braid it stays in one spot on your back and you don't have to worry about unless you whip your head around really fast and hit someone with your hair. Hahaha.

Also you can put it in a ponytail if that is what you really want but just be expecting it to go into your face more.

Bun thing.

Your bun if it is just a normal bun it is a little boring. To make it less boring take your hair and then take it and put it up not perfect just kinda shoce it together and put sime rubber bands in it. Make i messy. For added umph put a cute ribbon in it and tie it in a bow.

Try putting your hair up in a ponytail,, then have some one braid the pony tail for you. Or you can tie it in the ponytail, leave a strip of hair at the bottom then braid that and tie it around the ponytails rubber band or something and secure with a bobby pin.I like this one best. You can tie your hair in two pigtails and make them like a bun.

The back does unfortunatley grows faster and you WILL have to keep that trimmed until the front catches up. If you don't your hair will look as if you have a mullet. I've had long hair for all of my life (except when it was growing out when i was a baby). I really want to cut off 8 inches and give it to locks of love. I think it would look really good. But my mom doesn't think that I should until after I go to my agency meeting (to meet modeling and acting agencies). Because I don't want to suffer from badhaircutitis. So here's what I'm planning to do. Cut my hair until it is about and inch under my chin, with wispy shorter side bangs. I also want to get it barely layered. I have an ovalish heart shaped face. Do you think I should go for it?

i did that. Cut off 14 inches. In my opinion it's worth it. I think it's sounds like it would go great. are you leaning more towards a bob sort of a cut? even if it doesn't go the way you planned hair grows back. and depending on how old you are (teen to early adult) it will grow back very fast. I'd go for it. it's always a risk cutting off that much hair at once but when you think about it your hair will grow back. theirs won't. =]

Advice from a girl with dark brown naturally curly hair, here! I used to alllllways straighten my hair, because I thought my natural curls were a pain to work with. After getting bored of my long straight hair, I went to the salon to get side bangs. When the hair dresser was blow drying my hair, she comented on my beautiful "Hollywood wave/curl" I told her "Thanks ^^, but I usually keep it straight." ...and she thought it was better to just go with my natural hair!

So anyways, I went back to straightening it, but decided to let it be it's natural self on day before going to a birthday party. I went shopping before hand, and EVERYBODY that I met complimented me on how gorgeous my hair was!! I was like "You're serious?? I hate my natural hair lol" ...then at the party, MORE people started giving me compliments on it, until the point where I could barely take it XD! One person was like "Wow!! I really like your hair! But it's usually straight isn't it?" and I answered "Yup, but this is how my hair is naturally!" ..and his eyes went "O_O"...So ever since then, I've been keeping my hair at it's natural curly beauty. ...haha ok enough of that. Just trying to get the point aross of how beautiful and unique curly hair can be!!

So how did I get it that way?? Well because we both have natural curls, it's a peice of cake! All I do after taking a shower (in which I use shampoo and conditioner!!) I put some moose and anti frizz gel in my hair, and let it air dry. After it's almost completely dry, I just spray on hair spray! It's that easy!

So if I were you, don't try to work against your beautiful curls, and instead, embrace them! I'm sure you'll look fabulous ^^.

Btw..do you have side bangs or just regular? If they're side bangs, you can always straighten them "to add instend sex appeal" (%26lt;--I read it in a magazine lol), and either keep it down, or pull it back into a pony tail. Both are really cute. ^^

It's finally time for my 3-1/2 year old baby girl to get a haircut. Her hair is long, down to her butt, it's beautiful but it's such a pain to wash, brush and fix. Everyone knows a 3-yr old hates being still. Any tips on how to make this fun and easy for everyone involved? Also, I've been told cutting her hair will make it grow back thicker...is this true?

I'm a hairdresser and a nanny. From my experience you just need to make it as fun as possible. Bring a favorite toy or book. If she can sit on your lap that would be great. There are some salons that specialize in children and they oftentimes will have fun chairs or things for the kids to play with. A reward for being a good girl is also great. I take my little one to Jamba Juice after a haircut.

There's a Sesame Street episode that she saw that got her really excited. A character's hair gets too long and she can't eat because it's in her soup. Totally cute. : )

I'm just glad I still have about 90% of my hair. I dont even care what color it is. I dont wear it long but the grey beard doesn't make me look any younger. At Christmas though, the little kids think I am Santa. ( there is more than a passing resemblance)

well im african american and im fourteen . ive been doing my own hair since i was like 5 thought because my mom wasnt home in the mornings . i had to learn how to take care of it myself . so i started getting it done at the shop every month and that works :] my hair grew alot . but if you want to do something thats affordable then you should not put ANY grease in you hair . if you really need it though then use LIV [it comes in a white jar]. I dont use any grease i just keep my hair straightened all the time . when you dont mess wiht your hair it grows way faster because its trained that way onc you start wrapping it at night and wearing it down . hope i helped :]

Absolutely. Final Fantasy hair is the way to go. If your hair is thin, tell them not to go too crazy with the choppy layering. I've had a "Cloud" haircut from FFVII for years and it's great.

I am always trying new styles, but used to choose the wrong style just because I wanted to look like the girl in the picture..... now I always cover up the face. If I still like the hair, then I go for it. Works for me.

The style you like looks really versatile, bet you have loads of fun with it.....if you are thinking about colouring too, wait a couple of weeks after you get the cut as you will have a better idea of what you want to achieve. as for the pony tail, you can get some really good false ones in many different colours.

I have been having migranes a lot lately and the roots of my hair seem to always be sore. I have long, thick, wavy hair and the nerologist suggested I get it cut. Not only am I terrified of having my beautiful hair cut I am afraid it will just poof or frizz if it is short. I would prefer a cut that is easy to manage if that is at all possible. You dont have to get it all cut off, you could get it thinned out so its not so heavy. if you dont have it layered already you could do that and keep it long. its really easy to manage. i got mine layered and it lightened my hair up a lot. i have long hair also, its not that thick but when i wear it up i get migraines sometimes.

I use to have long hair that went a little more than half way down my back and

I told the stylist to just take a inch off and she kept messing up or something and ended up cutting it up to just below my shoulders!

Also she cut my bangs uneven I told her to cut them so I could part them to either side and so she cut them to one side that I never part it on.

it looks ok but now I don't know how to style it.

I used to have incredibly long hair and I didn't have it cut until I was 10 when I got it cut to my waist, then shoulders. At this point, I was straightening it quite frequently but it remained in good condition and I eventually realised I was damaging it and stopped. Then I started dying it and to cut a long story short, recently for a modelling job I had my hair dyed by a very good company, but I absolutely hate it. It has random ginger streaks in. I now don't know what to do because I'm trying to grow my hair longer again, but it's very damaged. Should I get it dyed again to solve the colour problem or just leave it to grow? I am having it regularly cut, but I can never straighten it or blow dry it. I'm only 15! Help! I just want it natural again. It's naturally light brown but is currently a redish brown.

Should women in the armed forces also be forced to keep their hair as short as the men after basic training? Personally, I believe that this is an excellent idea and should be instituted as soon as possible by our government. First of all, women on average spend more time on their hair, washing it and putting it up for service - something that is a much less of a problem with women who actually cut their hair prior to service. Second, women and men have their differences, yet hair is an unimportant dead structure that often gets in the way - plus women and men should be treated the same way in this respect, no nonesense, no double standards, no reverse discrimination. Third, long hair in the battlefield is dangerous if an enemy should get a hold of it. Four, long hair should not be acceptable in a professional eviron like the military.

1) I know guys in the military who spend 45 minutes in the morning working on their hair. I know girls in the military who spend two minutes throwing it up in a bun. The ammount of time a person spends on their hair isn't attached to length of hair or gender.

2) This is actually a good point, but I'll also say that the standards of normal appearance for men and women are different and, simply put, they need to be enforced equally to their own category.

3) Just to be clear, women aren't supposed to see much in the way of combat zones so this is really a moot point.

4) Again, making women dress up their hair (and presumably you'd extend this to jewelry and nails) and such to MALE standards doesn't actually uphold a professional image

Nope. I'm a veteran and I had hair below my shoulders. It was never a problem, never an issue. But I wasn't one of those females who colored or styled their hair, or got extensions and needed exessive pins to keep it up. I had it in a simple bun and could get ready to go to formation just as quick as my husband could. As far as it being dangerous if an enemy gets a hold of it....thats ridiculous. Regardless of if hair is long or short, American's are infidels to them and will take a head regardless. My big thing is that if the female can keep her hair style within regulations, then let it be. If it becomes and issue, such as interfering with headgear and such, then its on that person, to be a damn professional and get a more managable haircut. That goes for males as well. I've seen males with terrible haircuts....much more noticable and out of standards than some females.

1) Exactly how do you make your own hair clip ins? What steps do I need to follow?

You can buy the tracks (hair extensions at any beauty aid store) They will help you with the hair color and length you want. The only problem is that you might have to cut it to match the length you want. Then you have to buy the clips and sew them in, they should have them at the store too. They will show you everything. When your ready to start making them, part your hair from ear to ear, starting from just about the front of your ears to left then right, clip that front part of your hair up. Then take out the track or (wheft) Starting from the part at the ear with the end of the track--measure it all the way to the other side of the ear, this track will be for the top of your head that will cover the front sides and back of your head. Thats how you measure it. Cut it! If you want--you can cut another piece the same size and sew them together, (preferable using the same color thread of the material that is holding the hair together) with a regular needle to make the track fuller-- Then sew on the clips. One at each end and one in the middle of the track. (Be careful not to sew the clips in on the wrong side--always remember the teeth are supposed to be facing you when sewing them in) There you have it. To do more, just always leave some hair loose around the nape of the neck and the side of your head to hide the tracks when you comb it down. Make shorter width ones to put in the back of your head to fill in the gaps. Preferrable two tracks, one in the middle and one to cover the gap at the nape of the neck. All together, it will be three tracks. Top--Middle--and nape of the neck. To put them in, just part your hair side to side and around--always start from bottom to top--add the nape piece first, then the middle, then the top.

You can make them any size and length you want.

P.S. make sure it's 100% Human Hair, you can wash it, and put hot curlers in it. The hair shouldn't cost no more than $19.99-$25.00 and the clips come two in a pack for $1.00-$2.00. It's cheeper making them yourself--I looked on the internet and lawd-- I've seen all of them that cost from $120.00-$349.00--Wow. I've already made some myself--they look wonderful.

Well since you r a guy I would say CUT IT!!!!!!!! Long hair is good but when it's that long on a guy it looks ealy bad if you want to keep it long then do something like this.Keep in mind this won't be long to you but it will look normal to others and is still longer.

well . . . . i would if you like it long chop it up to just below your shoulder but my brother used to have long hair and he got it cut off and he hasn't complained since and if you think its boring short hair then add some colour!!!

My hair had this same style, but it has out-grown the style. My hair is about the same length maybe a little longer, but I where can I find a place to cut it like that? I don't want to spend 80$ again though...I personally think thats too much.

i wanted to get a maltese well i am going to get a dog in the summer and i was thinking of getting a maltese and i wanted to know if you could cut it's long hair and keep it like it looks when it's a puppy because i dont want to keep it long , i dont like the long hair

The problem with white dogs is that they get all kinds of stains and they get dirty easily.

Any long coated dog is a lot of grooming. But a white dog that is long coated is TONS of grooming!

It is going to be a huge commitment on your part with the grooming.

some good colors that go good in hair are neon pink and neon green, also i saw this one at hottopic (amazing store to go to for fun hair dye by the way) its not really neon but its a really bright almost aqua blue, its adorable and it works great.

okay i have long black hair that i've dyed with home dyed 8 times.

although ive dyed it so much it appears as very healthy shiny hair and all my friends say they 'want' my hair

although it looks in good condition i have quite a few split ends

i get my hair cut every 6 weeks and snip off split ends as i see them, but this doesnt seem to make much difference.

is there a product or tips anyone can recommend to make my hair stronger?

So, for almost most of my life I have had long hair. I just recently cut it off about a year ago. I love it short and I think that it fits my face but I really liked the long hair too. Please look at there picks and tell me which one you think looks the best. I don't know whether to continue to cut my hair or grow it out. Let me know!!!!!
