Clip in hair extensions. I have some questions!?

Ok, so I have the short in the back/long in the front hair cut. I want colored clip ins to put in the front to change my hair up some. I possibly want some to put in the back to look longer as well. I want to make them myself though.

Here are my questions:

1) Exactly how do you make your own hair clip ins? What steps do I need to follow?

2) What do I need to get from the store to make them?

3) Where can I get affordable hair extensions? Is Sally's Beauty Supply store okay? I heard their stuff LOOKS cheap and fake (as in shinny and screams * that girl has cheap *** clip-ins in her hair*) lol

Thank you soo much!!

Clip in hair extensions. I have some questions!?

hi;

You can buy the tracks (hair extensions at any beauty aid store) They will help you with the hair color and length you want. The only problem is that you might have to cut it to match the length you want. Then you have to buy the clips and sew them in, they should have them at the store too. They will show you everything. When your ready to start making them, part your hair from ear to ear, starting from just about the front of your ears to left then right, clip that front part of your hair up. Then take out the track or (wheft) Starting from the part at the ear with the end of the track--measure it all the way to the other side of the ear, this track will be for the top of your head that will cover the front sides and back of your head. Thats how you measure it. Cut it! If you want--you can cut another piece the same size and sew them together, (preferable using the same color thread of the material that is holding the hair together) with a regular needle to make the track fuller-- Then sew on the clips. One at each end and one in the middle of the track. (Be careful not to sew the clips in on the wrong side--always remember the teeth are supposed to be facing you when sewing them in) There you have it. To do more, just always leave some hair loose around the nape of the neck and the side of your head to hide the tracks when you comb it down. Make shorter width ones to put in the back of your head to fill in the gaps. Preferrable two tracks, one in the middle and one to cover the gap at the nape of the neck. All together, it will be three tracks. Top--Middle--and nape of the neck. To put them in, just part your hair side to side and around--always start from bottom to top--add the nape piece first, then the middle, then the top.

You can make them any size and length you want.

P.S. make sure it's 100% Human Hair, you can wash it, and put hot curlers in it. The hair shouldn't cost no more than $19.99-$25.00 and the clips come two in a pack for $1.00-$2.00. It's cheeper making them yourself--I looked on the internet and lawd-- I've seen all of them that cost from $120.00-$349.00--Wow. I've already made some myself--they look wonderful.

I hope this has been helpful to you.

or you could wait for your hair to grow.

or you can go to the salon and get real extensions.

if you buy them cheap/make them ur own, then they r gonna look cheap and scream "CHEAP"

Clip in hair extensions. I have some questions!?

sally's beauty supply has some.

some already come with a built in clip

so you won't have to sew the hair on the clip

yourself. i recommend you getting those instead.

the most popular hair extensions brands there

are Sassy and Vienna. Also make sure you buy the ones

that say REAL HUMAN HAIR. the reason some girls hair extensions look shiny is because they have synthetic extensions which are not made from real human hair. If you're worried about

doing them yourself and have no past experience

i suggest you going to hair salon although it will be really

pricey but it's better not to risk it and do them yourself because they might come out crappy.
