Long Layers For POOFY Hair?

i have hair that falls past my shoulders a little. it is in between curly and wavy. it is very poofy. and thick.

i want an easy to style cut, so i usually just air dry my hair. straightening takes too long for everyday.

some people say long layers get rid of poof.

some people say it makes it poofier.

i'm looking for an anwser.

But u can't see the layers only when u striaghten ur hair!! It sucks dosn't it!!

LONG layers, helped my hair. Made the ends slightly thinner. But.. the higher they are - the worse they look and make your hair.

i think layers make it even more poofier. i would go with a trim if u like ur length now and maybe get sidebangs..or ask ur stylist what an "easy to do" style would be for u

My hair is EXACTLY like yours, curly in some parts wavy in others, its long (a few inches past my shoulders), poofy, and thick. I tried to cut it into layers the other day and it poofs out like an afro. Whatever you do, don't get it layered. Instead go to a pro. (NOT Fantastic Sams crap) and get some hair layered out from under your hair. It makes your hair appear thinner. Good luck ^_^
